Why these three regions?

David Clarke speaking of Piedmont and the resurgence of popularity in Italian wines: Nebbiolo, particularly those from the Langhe, show a combination of intense aromatics, powerful tannins, and remarkable aging potential makes it a truly exceptional grape variety, capable of producing some of the world’s finest wines.

Tom Prior of Radford Dale speaking about why White Burgundies are looking more attractive: Rising prices are a factor across all the world of wine, but as percentage increases go it is particularly felt in the wines of blue-chip Burgundy appellations. These are the wines the locals would prefer us to overlook, delivering on that Burgundian point of difference whilst being accessible.
Not many people are familiar with the region of Beaujolais, Tom Prior explains why we should give it another try: Beaujolais is going through a region resurgent and, for the moment, offers up some of the finest drinking pleasure to value in all of France. The current generation of vigneron here are fledging at a time when, once more, the wine world is rewarding finesse in red wines. They have heritage, a playground of old vineyards, personality, and some of the most complex geology in the world of wine at their disposal.Whilst largely overlooked by SA importers, Radford Dale have been importing Beaujolais for some 20 years, curating a diverse and exciting spread of reference point producers based in their cru of specialty.
