Without giving away all the secrets, two of the cheeses are…
Langbaken Karoo Crumble:
Produced on a small family farm near Williston in the Northern Karoo, this handcrafted cheese reflects its rugged surroundings. Made from Jersey cow’s milk, the Karoo Crumble is firm and naturally crumbly with a subtle crunch that develops during ageing. The flavour is full and tangy, with gentle nutty and grassy notes that give it real character.
Klein River Gruberg (6-Month Matured):
Made on the Klein River farm outside Stanford, the Gruberg is a South African interpretation of a traditional Alpine cheese. Aged for six months, it develops a smooth but slightly grainy texture and a balanced, savoury flavour. The taste starts with mild fruitiness and finishes with a clean, nutty depth that makes it an easy favourite on any board.
