This is only the third release of a Genevieve Zero Dosage; the first was from vintage 2012 and the second from 2015. Melissa only releases the Zero Dosage in exceptional vintages (thus the long wait since the 2015 as there was no 2016 produced). It is the same cuvée as the relevant vintage’s Brut but with longer time on lees and—obviously—zero dosage.

Chardonnay vineyards planted on deep riverside soil in E/W direction. Handpicked at 19°B for fruit and elegance and high natural acidity
In the cellar
Whole bunched pressed and only free-run juice used; the purest juice of the pulp, rich in sugar and acid. Melissa’s philosophy is vigilant attention and consideration in the vineyard with minimal but concise intervention in the cellar, allowing each vintage to express itself from grape to bottle. Four years yeast (lees) contact time before disgorgement with 7 months minimal cork contact before release.
