This Chenin Blanc comes from a 1971 planted bushvine vineyard on the Paardeberg in the Swartland.
Planted in decomposed Malmesbury shale soils and naturally low yielding, the old vines produce beautifully balanced fruit with depth and concentration while retaining freshness.
Notes of orange blossom and tangerine lead into flavours of white peach and orange rind. The palate is layered and velvety with a fine mineral thread and bright acidity that keeps everything lifted and precise. The finish is long, clean and quietly powerful.
This is a versatile food wine with both richness and freshness; equally suited to roast chicken, pork dishes, seafood, or gently spiced cuisine. Elegant, expressive and built to age beautifully.
