Winemaker Stompie is stepping beyond the broad, sometimes ambiguous, term “natural wine.” He humbly refers to the new release as ‘honest wine’; a clear, unadulterated reflection of the vintage, the vineyard, and the unique Swartland terroir.
The goal is accessibility and honesty:
Simple Winemaking: The focus is to let the fruit and place shine. Winemaking is kept simple, with the only addition being sulphur to ensure stability and quality for the drinker.
Accessible Quality: The core concept of Force Celeste remains: to make good, artisanal wine accessible to everyone.
The Winemaker’s Choice: Fundamentally, these are the wines Stompie himself wants to drink: wines of energy, purity, and heart.
Sourced from three organically-farmed vineyards Kweperfontein, Hillside, and Rietveld. Made using 85% direct-press and 15% skin-fermented juice for natural texture. Aged 8 months in concrete and old oak, and bottled unfined and unfiltered with minimal SO2. A vibrant, balanced, and authentic expression of the vintage.
This 100% Semillon from the organically-farmed Nieuwedrift vineyard expresses the purity of the 2025 vintage. A blend of 70% direct-press and 30% skin-fermented juice, crafted with a crucial pre-fermentation oxidation step to ensure long-term stability and complexity. Minimal handling, natural fermentation, and 8 months of aging in concrete result in a textured, expressive wine that is unfined, unfiltered, and alive.

A pétillant naturel made from 100% Pinotage. This is a single ferment sparkling wine (not a twice fermented like MCC).

A serious Rosé from the single, organically-farmed Grenaatfontein vineyard (26-year-old Bush Vines, Weathered Granite). Made with care: 100% whole-cluster pressed with very slow, gentle extraction, limiting recovery to just 55% of the free-run juice. Fermented naturally and aged 8 months on the lees in neutral French oak. This is a textured, complex Rosé, bottled unfined and unfiltered with low SO2.

Made from the same vineyard as the Rosé, Grenaatfontein, a structured Cinsault from the organically-farmed vineyard (26-year-old Bush Vines, Weathered Granite). Made for texture: 100% whole cluster fermentation followed by a 7-day submerged cap post-ferment maceration. Minimal extraction ensures freshness. Aged 8 months in a blend of concrete tank and oak Foudre. Bottled unfined and unfiltered with low SO2. A layered, elegant red with great purity.
