Kedungu 2024 blends 50% Mourvèdre, 22.5% Cinsault, 22.5% Syrah and 5% Pinotage. The Mourvèdre and Syrah were fermented as whole bunches. The wine matured for twelve months in barrel, followed by four months in tank.
The name comes from a surf spot in Bali that Jurgen visited. These varieties appear elsewhere in the Intellego range, making Kedungu another way to explore their different roles. Mourvèdre leads this blend, with Cinsault, Syrah and Pinotage contributing to a broad, savoury red.
“Broad with moderate acidity and powdery tannins, the finish gently savoury. Flavourful and accessible.”
