The Story of Harry 2025 combines 70% Chenin Blanc and 30% Chardonnay from Paardeberg vineyards on decomposed granite. Jurgen increased the Chardonnay proportion for this vintage, exploring its contribution to freshness.
Part of the Chenin receives around seven days of skin contact, while the Chardonnay is pressed directly. The wine spent eleven months in oak followed by five months in stainless steel before bottling, bringing together Jurgen’s interest in texture, time and the relationship between varieties grown on similar soils.
“Great fruit concentration, not too lean, although hardly creamy, brisk acidity and a savoury finish. Well balanced.”
