Please join Jane Ferriera-Eedes of Dainty Bess MCC, Chris Williams of The Foundry, and Ex Animo Wine Co. at the incomparable Jardine Food & Wine Bar in central Stellenbosch for what promises to be a wonderful lunch.

Jane and Chris will guide us through each of their wines, accompanied by three excellent courses created by George Jardine and his team. You will have the opportunity to ask questions throughout. The wines will be available to order for delivery on the day.

Dainty Bess is owned and run by Jane Ferreira-Eedes and concentrates on a single wine. The name Dainty Bess comes from one of Jane’s mother’s favourite rose varieties.

Dainty Bess is one of the premier rosé MCCs currently being produced in South Africa. It is 100% Pinot Noir, bone dry, and complex, fine and intense.

This label was established by Chris Williams in 2001. After many years as the Cellar Master at Meerlust, Chris has now made The Foundry his full time pursuit. The Foundry is a multiple Platter 5 Star winner and has been awarded White Wine of the Year.

The Foundry has traditionally focused on Rhone varieties (Syrah, Viognier, Roussanne, Grenache, etc), but this is slowly changing. Since leaving Meerlust, Chris has been able to put more blood, toil, tears and sweat into the wines and has expanded the spectrum of grapes coming into the cellar. Exciting things await!

Jardine is located in the heart of Stellenbosch, close to the central shopping area. Owned by renowned chef, George Jardine, Jardine serves contemporary dishes in a relaxed atmosphere.
