Sourced from the top part of the Sandford Vineyard, this is a charming, precise, relatively forward Pinot Noir from Nadia Newton Johnson, with ethereal rose petal and pot pourri aromas, finely wrought tannins, wild strawberry and pomegranate flavours and plenty of underlying zip and acidity.’ – Tim Atkin MW, SA Special Report 2025, 94/100
‘Grapes from an Upper Hemel-en-Aarde vineyard planted in 2008. Matured for 10 months in 228-litre barrels, 27% new. Subtle aromatics of red cherry, musk, herbs and a hint of vanilla. The palate is light-bodied and perhaps a touch angular but never lean. Pure and fresh with fine tannins, a gentle spice to the finish. Alc: 12.9%’ – Christian Eedes, Winemag.co.za, 93/100
