South African wine heritage is not limited to one grape, region or style.

This six-bottle case brings together Cape blends, old vineyards, Pinotage and Muscat d’Alexandrie, better known as Hanepoot. Some of the wines look back at varieties and methods that have been part of the Cape for generations. Others show how today’s winemakers are interpreting that history in lighter, fresher and more individual ways.

Includes 1 bottle each:

Myburgh Bros ‘Ex Africa’ Muscat d’Alexandrie 2024
Ex Animo ‘De Keur’ Grenache 2022
Scions of Sinai ‘Atlantikas’ Pinotage 2025
Lourens Family ‘Lindi Carien’ 2024
Thorne & Daughters ‘Rocking Horse’ Cape White 2024
Beeslaar ‘Cape Courage’ 2023

Six wines that connect the Cape’s established grapes and vineyards with the winemakers shaping South African wine today.

Beeslaar ‘Cape Courage’ 2023

Abrie Beeslaar’s modern Cape blend brings Pinotage together with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc. Red and black fruit, violets and savoury spice are supported by fresh acidity and fine tannins. Structured, properly dry and ready to drink.

Thorne & Daughters ‘Rocking Horse’ Cape White 2024

John Seccombe’s flagship Cape white blend combines Roussanne, Chenin Blanc, Chardonnay, Semillon and Clairette Blanche from vineyards across the Western Cape. Layered and detailed, it brings together several varieties that have helped shape the modern Cape white blend.

Lourens Family ‘Lindi Carien’ 2024

Named after Franco Lourens’s wife, Lindi Carien blends Chenin Blanc, Verdelho and Colombar from Swartland, Piekenierskloof and Stellenbosch. Pear, peach and citrus are joined by spice, a lightly grippy texture and a savoury finish.

Scions of Sinai ‘Atlantikas’ Pinotage 2025

Bernhard Bredell works with three coastal bush-vine vineyards situated within five kilometres of False Bay. The result is a bright, juicy Pinotage driven by cherry fruit, freshness and fine tannins rather than extraction or heavy oak.

Ex Animo ‘De Keur’ Grenache 2024

Grown on the Du Toit family’s De Keur farm in the Koue Bokkeveld, this dry-farmed vineyard sits at 1,050 metres above sea level. The 2024 was made by Lukas van Loggerenberg and combines red and black cherry with rose petals, apricot, fynbos and earth. Concentrated but not heavy, with bright acidity and firm tannins. A young vineyard that adds a new chapter to the Cape’s wine story.

Myburgh Bros ‘Ex Africa’ Muscat d’Alexandrie 2024

Muscat d’Alexandrie has a long history in the Cape, where it is commonly known as Hanepoot. Tyrrel and Philip Myburgh make theirs completely dry, with aromatic notes of flowers, pear, lychee and melon balanced by a clean, refreshing finish.
