This is Nebbiolo under the broader Langhe DOC appellation. It gives you another way into the grape before moving to Barolo, with a different approach to ageing.
Trediberri keeps this wine unoaked too. Its published method uses mainly concrete for fermentation, followed by time in tanks before bottling. The producer’s intention is a fruity, approachable Nebbiolo, and its serving suggestion is straightforward: slightly cool.
Falstaff awarded the 2024 vintage 92 points. Kiem and Staffler describe redcurrant, blood orange and bitter almond aromas, with silky tannins and some grip on the palate. That detail matters: approachable Nebbiolo can still have texture and structure.
Try it alongside the Barbera to compare the two grapes before moving on to Berri.
