Hand picked from 15 to 25-year-old dryland vines on Swartland Schist and Shale soils. Harvesting took place from the middle of February to end of February. 100% destemmed and naturally fermented in open top fermenters. Barrel maturation in 500L French oak barrels for 10 months.
Beautiful combination of dark fruit expression, hints of earthiness, some pepper and spice. The earthy and spicy notes give texture and depth to the palate and a certain warmth to this beautifully expressive Syrah.
