Hand picked from 15 to 25-year-old dryland vines on Swartland Schist and Shale soils. Harvesting took place from the middle of February to end of February. 100% destemmed and naturally fermented in open top fermenters. Barrel maturation in 500L French oak barrels for
10 months.
TASTING NOTES
Hints of red and dark fruits, leather, spice and earthiness. Medium-bodied on the palate with primary fruit expression beautifully balanced by fine yet youthful tannin and subtle acid giving freshness and a lift to the wine. The earthy and spicy notes give texture and depth
to the palate and a certain warmth to this beautifully expressive Syrah.
100% Syrah, 13% abv.
